There used to be a thing called open standards that tech companies would champion that allowed everyone to play fairly. This push for digital currency just shows that the race going on now is about staking their claim, NOT about serving users. An open standard here would be instantly adopted by all retailers as it wouldnt matter what type of OS was on your phone. Really hate what this says about the tech industry as a whole.
