Groundbreaking for the 1893 Land Run Historical Center was held Saturday, September 27th at the corner of Hwy 81 and Cherokee St in Medford, OK. Jim Reese, Oklahomas Secretary and Commissioner of Agriculture and a lifetime resident of Grant County was the featured speaker. He wanted to remind the gathered crowd that this is a project for all of Grant County, not just Medford. Board Members for the 1893 Land Run Historical Center gave short speeches and then broke ground for the center.
