Guidance to leading people to Christ... Why do people not want God in their life? Why do they run away when they hear His Name? Its a false mind set The Lord said to us. Why is it a false mind set? The question lies in who has been teaching them? The father of lies:- satan or God who is Truth? They may feel they dont like the impact God has had on people they know and love. They have changed when they became Christians. These people appear obsessed with this God. They pursue them now trying to convince them that they need to come the same way. Why cant they leave me alone to get on with my life? They may feel that this God has not been there for them when they have needed Him. Does He really exist? The solution is to see if these people are happy with life and are at peace. If they are restless sad or unfulfilled, Do they know why? The lack in their life should indicate to them that something is wrong. This is where the believer must be careful not to be smug or self satisfied. This turns off an unbeliever. The unbeliever will be looking for any inconsistency or chink in the armour of their adversary. They do not know who is guiding them. Believers know the enemy is the accuser but the unbeliever wont register that. How does one change the false mindset? Often unbelievers need to be taken to rock bottom desperation to realise their plight. The fact that they dont have all the solutions and they dont know the answers. This is painful for the believer to watch. Sometimes we need to wait with the hand extended and for the call. If we grab them, this is no different to what the enemy has done already, making them an unwitting and unwilling captive. A doctor who continues to counsel a patient against bad habits has the same frustrations when they continue on the path of self destruction. Our answer is just to show unconditional love which has no hooks or dependencies on it. To be there for them. They will then get the revelation of Gods love coming through you to them. To be truly born again without an intellectual rebirth, we need to have a spiritual revelation and experience of God. Otherwise it will not be a spiritual rebirthing. It is strange that so many unbelievers have absolute faith there is a spiritual world. They just dont seem to connect that one has to be Spirit to recognise spirit. A rebirth in flesh or worldly manner does not work. Nicodemus asked Jesus this question on behalf of Mankind. John 3:4-8 (NKJV) 4 Nicodemus said to Him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mothers womb and be born?” 5 Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. 6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is Spirit. 7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.” So believers- anoint these people in the Spirit and pray and declare a spiritual experience for them. Continue to walk in peace, holiness, love and happiness and your example may start to permeate their mind sets and lead them to want to have what you have. People need to know the truth of their existence. Isaiah was feeling the pressure but He knew the truth of his existence and God and his dependence in Him. Isaiah 49:4 (The Message) 4 But I said, Ive worked for nothing. Ive nothing to show for a life of hard work. Nevertheless, Ill let God have the last word. Ill let him pronounce his verdict. This is where all people need to get to. Pray that your friends acquaintances and family find the Way. Philippians 2:9-11 (New American Standard Bible - NASB) 9 For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, 11 and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. The fruits of his labour, Isaiah knew ,would manifest in time and he plugged on. Unbelievers will only be convinced by seeing the fruits of our own personal labour. They will then know we follow a just and true God. Matthew 7:15-16 (New American Standard Bible - NASB) A Tree and Its Fruit 15 “Beware of the false prophets, who come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. 16 You will know them by their fruits. Grapes are not gathered from thorn bushes nor figs from thistles, are they? What are the fruits we ned to display? Galatians 5:22-23 (New American Standard Bible - NASB) 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.
