Had Greg on the phone for an hour yesterday, as we drove younger brother, George, back to college (as he transfers from University of Maryland to University of Maine -- A New Englander at heart!) Greg was helpful in talking with George, the big brother that George has missed during the silent year. Indeed I think the biggest impact has been on George as the two of them, just a few years apart, were always the little guys at home, as though they were twins! Otherwise ... Greg seems to be doing well. He says that he spent 4 hours on the phone with his Murietta friend on the computer getting some artist residency application materials out on a deadline. Greg is reading a lot of philosophy, especially philosophy of religion, and talks about an Afghan bible of sorts that sounds very Eastern. Applications and computers and deadlines, and Eastern philosophy ... [Eastern philosophy] doesnt mean you cant have ambitions! Greg interjected ... And I imagine a lot of things are coming together on his walk home.
