Happy Ending - October 22, 2014 We just love these updates! Many of your remember Tiki who came to us as a very shy and scared young kitten, and, after spending almost 10 months in our socialization program, we saw this once-frightened kitten develop into a loving young lady who was ready to find her new home. Then along came Colleen and Eric who gave her that chance. How heart-warming to us all to hear how well she is doing - enjoy some of the pictures that Colleen and Eric sent along - they certainly will make you smile. I am writing to give you an update on a cat that we adopted in January – Tiki. When we adopted her she had been at your shelter for a while and been through your cat socialization process. When we brought her home she was very nervous and shy for the first week or so, and didn’t venture far from under the bed. Slowly but surely though our sweet Tiki built up the courage to come out of the bedroom, then down the stairs and explore and she quickly became enamored with the two other cats in our house and even us! We have had Tiki now for about 9 months and are so glad that we brought her home with us! In June we moved across to Illinois and Tiki has loved the new house which gives her tons of room to run and chase her toys and lots of windows for her favorite pastime – watching chipmunks! She is the happiest cat - she races up the stairs to be the first one in bed, loves to snuggle, has the best purr, enjoys stretching out in a sunray, and watching TV on the couch like a human. Thank you for taking in our sweet girl when she needed a home and caring for her for such a long time. She may not be able to say it, but I am sure that she is thankful for your efforts in getting her to her forever home! We love her and are so happy that she is part of our family now.
