Happy Friday, friends. This video is about a part of rescue that most of us never thought about or knew of. These amazing volunteers are transport. They cover legs of the freedom rides that move these creatures out of bad situations to a a safe place with a rescue, foster or adopter. My first foster, Romeo, came to me from Oklahoma and he was transported by an impressive chain of volunteers who use their time and vehicles to get them where they need to be. Ill NEVER forget the moment when our skinny little boy was lifted from the crate and handed to me. He smelled a little poopy as hed had an accident in his crate on the journey..lol. But the lovely lady had cleaned him and his crate up and moved on to get all her transports to their destinations! I met them in Iowa City as they like to stop just off their main path to keep moving and stay on time for all their stops. This is something Billy feels hed like to do when he has a reliable vehicle to hold crates. Even if fostering is not an option for you, if you are willing and able to help with a leg of a transport chain contact any rescue and let them know! There is never enough help in any part of rescue..any help is welcome and appreciated!
