Have you ever heard the story of Jim Stovall ? Hes the author of the best-selling book The Ultimate Gift which became a major motion picture. He owns satellite TV stations, has won an Emmy, earned a gold medal as an Olympic weight lifter, and won Entrepreneur of the Year from the Presidents Committee on Equal Opportunity. He has also been chosen as the International Humanitarian of the Year award (an honor also given to Mother Theresa). Knowing all this, its hard to believe that Jim went blind in his early 20s. He had a very good reason to be an underachiever ... Well a better one than most people have. Making excuses and being reasonable wont get you to the extraordinary level you desire. Usually the excuse makes sense; its reasonable. But now youre a slave to the tyranny of reason instead of enjoying the liberty brought by results. You either have Reasons or Results. What is it going to be ? Average people make reasonable excuses for pretty much everything they fail to accomplish. This helps them gain acceptance, approval, understanding, and an exemption from ever having to try again. Sad to say they give up an extraordinary life and results. Which are you going to choose ?
