Heading into my ankle surgery in a little while and going out for - TopicsExpress

Heading into my ankle surgery in a little while and going out for my last normal walk for a few months. This is a widely anticipated part 2 of my initial ankle surgery 5-6 years ago. At that time, to fix the bone damage (soccer related incident from maybe 10 years ago), the surgeon drilled a hole to access bone marrow so the bone could basically fix itself. That happened brilliantly, but a common side effect are bone spurs. For years, theyve been growing at the front of my ankle, which has been limiting its range of motion and have grown to a point where they are going to negatively impact my Achilles Heel and other parts of my foot if I dont get them taken out over the next year. So, this seemed to be the least disruptive time to do it. Normal recovery is 4 weeks on crutches and 4 weeks in a boot (will know for sure after surgery). Ill be at home for a couple of days recovering from the anesthesia. So, if I owe you money, this is the time to collect as I cannot run from you (haha)…
