Job Title Marketing and Membership Manager Position summary The Marketing and Membership Manager manages the relationship between ArtsBoston and our 165+ visual and performing arts member groups. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Marketing: · Manage ArtsBoston presence at all special events including public arts festivals, tourism partner events and member events including staffing schedules, event logistics, email acquisition programs, ArtsBoston branded presence, and member engagement. Report out on event successes/challenges and make recommendations for future participation Develop and manage all ArtsBoston member and tourism email communications including monthly member newsletter, special offers and announcements, and weekly concierge email. Track email metrics and make recommendations for changes as needed. Manage content of “For Arts Groups” section of ArtsBoston.org in coordination with Digital Programs Manager · Work with marketing team to ensure member presentations, event signage and email templates are on brand and on budget Oversee and coordinate the fulfillment of corporate and media partnerships that benefit members including partnership fulfillment and reporting as needed Order and manage the inventory for ArtsBoston promotional items, recommend new items as necessary Member Services: Assist in establishing, delivering and reporting on annual membership goals Identify & recruit new member prospects to meet annual membership goals. Answer prospective member inquiries and serve as initial point of contact Coordinate member workshop series Manage the membership renewal process, including finalizing and distributing annual materials and processing submissions Maintain member database and email list Work with accounting office to ensure accurate financial records and to process invoices for membership dues Assist Deputy Director with the administration of the ArtsBoston Audience Initiative market knowledge program Attend special events and meetings as necessary, including evenings and weekends on occasion Assist in the management of interns as needed KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE · Bachelor’s degree; 3-5 years of experience working in arts administration, advertising/marketing or some other related field with direct experience in managing client or customer relationships · Excellent verbal and writing skills with a demonstrated ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, including editing and creating original materials · Knowledge of and passion for Greater Boston’s performing and visual arts communities · Good judgment with the ability to effectively manage the expectations of others, make sound decisions within the scope of the job, and elevate issues as needed · An optimistic attitude and a willingness to help with the ability to interact positively with the public and staff · Demonstrated ability as a “self-starter” who shows the initiative to carry assignments beyond the original instruction in anticipation of future opportunities · Strong organizational skills, deadline and service driven, team oriented TECHNICAL SKILLS · Microsoft Office Suite skills a must including Excel, PPT, Word · Constant Contact (or other comparable email system) · Salesforce (or other comparable database system) · Social Media experience (LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter) ABOUT ARTSBOSTON ArtsBoston is area’s largest and most comprehensive nonprofit arts service organization and one of the leading organizations of its kind in the country.
