Hello all, And welcome back. Over the next month, the Greenpoint Community Environmental Fund will conduct a part of the GCEF grant decision making process which attempts to determine community preference’. This process will invite Greenpoint residents to review proposals already made and communicate their feedback. To PS110/AquaLab this is an opportunity to broadcast our presence as a viable contender and generate neighborhood awareness, support and enthusiasm for the usefulness of our project. Our willingness and capability to reach out and communicate with the neighborhood at large could tip the balance in our favor. To this end I would like to ask everyone of our work group - and beyond, to contribute their best capability by personally taking on a neighborhood outreach idea which can be pursued here and now: Design that postcard or flyer proposed early-on, create an effective PS110/AquaLab logo and brand identity, convince the Greenpoint Gazette or other local publications to highlight our proposed project. Help organize or contribute as a project group to a local clean-up action, canvass local events with our (to be created) info materials. Our primary focus is on those ideas that can be realized within the next 4-6 weeks. This Thursday evening’s meeting would be the first important opportunity to make your presence and stake within this planned process known to the neighborhood - and find out about the other projects in the making. We’ll meet at 6.15pm (129 Russell Wilson Street - main event begins at 6.30pm) to reconnect with each other and be seated as a PS110 contingency. GCEF will provide snacks… see you there?
