Hello all! I dont know everyone here, but for the IEEE WIE I am setting up a tour of the MISOs new control center in their Eagan branch. This could be exciting for those interested in power systems and operations. We are going Monday, March 24th and meeting in WIE room around 9:00 am (our tour is at 10:00, meeting time is subject to change). To be eligible to join us, you must not be a marketing function employee as defined in FERCs Standards of Conduct 18 CFR 358.3(d) and not be engaged in the sale for resale in interstate commerce, or the submission of offers to sell in interstate commerce of electric energy, demand response, virtual transactions, or financial or physical transmission rights. Also, if you are NOT a US Citizen, you must submit to a background check. This needs to occur prior to the tour so please contact me ASAP if you are interested and this applies to you. We need to know exactly who is coming by this Friday, March 14th. Please contact me at [email protected] or here on Facebook. This is tour is open to WIE members and IEEE members and friends. Melissa is trying to plan a carpool to get to Eagan. The details will be worked out once we have the total number of attendees. I know this is an odd time of day and many will not be able to come, but I am extending this offer for those that can and are interested.
