Hello everyone. Hoping for some advice. My Brutus has been acting a bit out of character the last 2 weeks. Weve been in our new house for more than 2 months, and he adjusted pretty much overnight. He was nonplussed by the wedding and the comings and goings of people. He doesnt care for our new bed (memory foam, I dont think he can get his footing), so he sleeps happily on his new bed on the floor (hes slept with us from day one, I never thought hed sleep on his bed). All very Brutus -- not too bothered by anything. But the last two weeks, he has gone overboard begging for food--hes always been a beggar, but this is nonstop whining, whether were eating or not. Hes always snoozed most days pretty much all day, even when were home. Now, he cant seem to relax, he barks when one of us goes upstairs and just randomly for no reason (he rarely ever barks). We often find him sleeping upstairs when we get home, as if maybe he went looking for us and then fell asleep. He chases the cat more than he ever did before. His vet says he seems healthy, especially given his age. I worry maybe his eyes are getting worse. The thought of him being anxious or unhappy for even one moment breaks my heart =( Am I worrying for nothing and its just my old man being a grumpy old man?
