Henry Rollins preaching the gospel. I had one of the greatest conversations of my life with him circa January 1981 in front of the old Agora at 2:00 a.m. They were loading their van after the show and headed on to Buffalo that night/morning. I was drunk. He was too. Sturdy lads in a crummy van. I saw Henry again years later in Darmstadt, Germany and he was doing his spoken word stuff warming up The Ramones. I never felt more American.
