Hey I have something to say....WEIR BACK!!!!!!!!! This time of year has become pretty exciting for Weir High School and Weirton. Our alumni are contacting us for shirts and hats and just offering congratulations to our kids. Generous strangers are paying for our kids meals at local restaurants. Many other players are getting words of encouragement and congratulations from people in the community. Our Cheerleaders had a great season (we know they are much better than the scores they received) they are special to us!!! Both of our soccer teams kicked some rears this season. all the kids in all the fall sports worked very hard and represented Weir with integrity and pride. We love all our Red Riders ALL 640 OF THEM!!!! Our goal as a booster organization is to promote and raise funds for our football team. It is very expensive to provide for 60 players. That is the mission for each booster organization, to raise funds and provide for their respective activities. Although we are the Weir Football Boosters we try to partner with other booster organizations to help them provide for their kids. We want everyone to succeed!!! The Weir Red Rider Marching Band is at a big disadvantage financially for the playoffs. They receive no funds from the state or the school to pay for their kids travel expenses. We are requesting sponsors and donors to help them out in any way. Any amount will help them. These kids worked hard supporting our team at our games and putting on great performances for the fans all season. We are proud of them and love each member as our own.
