Hi all, The quizzes and SUAs have been graded. The quiz was worth 30 points and the average grade was a scratch above 11. Each question was worth 10 points and a vast majority of you only correctly answered one of them; no one scored higher than a 20/30. This quiz was originally deemed a gimme quiz to help boost the abysmally low grades in the SUAs, but that certainly backfired. The SUA was worth 75 points and the average grade hovered around a 36. To say that Professor Falk and I are shocked is an insulting understatement. For those of you wondering, we are still maintaining the position of making the final exam brutally comprehensive. We are well aware of students possessing stolen prior semester exams, as well as the SUA parties consisting of large groups of people copying off one another. Since there is no conceivable way to identify each and every participant in the aforementioned activities, we believe that a thoroughly challenging final exam will even the playing field. Since the honest students already diligently prepare, this should not be a problem for them.
