Hip Hop has always been about competition, Like Football and Basketball it is a Competitive sport but it is A word Game... If you are a Rapper or a Hip Hop Artist and you dont think you are the best or dont aim for that position, then you are in the wrong show. People will always take shots at you. Its not disrespect, its just a target to take your spot. You need to prove that youre the best, not physically but lyrically and it all done in a song. Busy Bee battled Kool Moe Dee in the 80s, KRS 1 also battled MC Shan,( Jay-Z had lyrical warfare with Nas),etc. The has been a lot battles online and that is a new form of Entertainment in Hip Hop which has Led to Battle Leagues such as Smack URL, KOTD,etc and guys are making money off it... So please my Fellow Cameroon Artiste taking battles and lyrical attacks from Hip Hop is like Champions League organizing a match between FC Barcelona and Chelsea and taking the Poles off the field.
