Hopkins Update...... The young elephant seals continue to enjoy their stay here in Pacific Grove and watched the runners pass by this morning. Notice that one of the differences between elephant seals and harbor seals is that Elephant seals have black whiskers and harbor seals have white. Also on the beach today was Cheeky our harbor seal with lacerations on both sides of its face. It is continuing heal on its own and doesnt appear to be slowing this seal down any. A seal know as Heart was also present today. This one is very easy to spot because of the heart shaped pattern on its right side. We do not know how long the elephant seals will stay so if you havent got a chance to see them try to get down to hopkins and enjoy this young trio.
