Hosanna Hills Guide Service Fishing report for 8-19-13 Fishing - TopicsExpress

Hosanna Hills Guide Service Fishing report for 8-19-13 Fishing this morning was fair just below Beaver Dam at 6:30 AM. The preferred color seemed to be yellow with rainbow a distant second. As it turned out, that seemed to be consistent for all four spots checked today. On the gravel bar next to the Beaver Dam launch ramp, the trout bite was good, but the rainbows caught were small, which earned them a second chance on growing up! On to Parker Bottom. The bite on the wheelchair ramp was slow but ok. If you go there to fish, I would recommend moving downstream about 100 yards and fishing there. The bite was very good and the fish were larger. If you decide to fish from the rocks between the wheelchair ramps, ( in the inlet ), be aware that the rocks are covered with very slippery silt. The best bite and largest fish caught this morning were landed at Bertrand launch ramp area. The bite is excellent, but very light, so watch your line! Generation is scheduled for 4 PM today at about 40% of capacity, increasing to about 87% capacity at 5 and 6 PM, then decreasing to 43% at 7 PM. The weather is supposed to be wonderful, again, with a high of 84 degrees F. and sunny. Sounds like a perfect day to be out fishing.
