I asked a For Sale By Owner if they were willing to pay a 3% commission (which is standard) to an agent for bringing them a buyer who purchases their home....Here is the husbands response back to me: My name is Zach. You asked about the 3%, we would not be paying that. The buyer normally would pay you. We would pay the $1000 cash incentive. Thank you and let me know if you have any other questions. Their house is listed at $145,000 which at 3% is $4,350...What incentive is there for an agent to to do ALL the work & take on ALL the liability for a thousand bucks when the agent could sell the house down the street and make 4x that? #HaveFunForSaleByOwner
