I dont usually get involved with politics because, lets face it, its a bag of shit, perpetrated by a bunch of self-interested wankers- Dont vote youll only encourage them- Billy Connolly. But lets not confuse the YES vote with being a positive vote. Its inherently negative even though it has the word YES in it. Youre essentially placing faith in a line drawn in 1237 separating us from a population of people who speak the same language, but in a different manner. Vote how you will but dont place your faith in arbitrary geometry, and dont pretend your vote is based on more than self-interest. Ive met countless English people in my brief 28 years on this planet, good and bad among them in equal proportion to the people Ive met in Scotland. People are people. Dont let language fool you.
