I dont want independence. I want a political system that is governed with proportional representation so the minority is ever present to keep the majority straight. I want a political system that is fair and balanced and isnt manipulated by lobbyists or rich party donors ( or media moguls). I want a society that rewards hard work but without making the prosperous the crutch of the lazy. I want a system that offers opportunity for those who want to take it but expects hard work and the sweat of everyone (whilst rewarding them). I want my children to have the best chance of being safe because our leaders are accountable for what goes on behind closed doors. I want a Government not scared to invest in infrastructure that reduces our energy imports to be independent of others so we dont need to fight in far flung oily places. I want an economic system that encourages entrepreneurial risk and doesnt reward parasitical gambling (short selling😡). You probably get the jist. Feel free to add your own wants. I will vote for whichever option has the best chance of delivering that Utopian view.....but I havent decided if either deserve my vote.
