I have a question . I just started running last week for the first time in 10 years. I am training for Broad Street -so, I have time. During my last 3 runs I ran 4.1 miles but my pace average was close to 11, and for two of the runs I did walk a little. Ive been trying to keep the same distance but increase my pace and run the whole way. I noticed others are using intervals to get their distance. Any recommendations on what is the best way- or is it just what works for you? Should I switch to intervals to try to get more distance (also more time consuming) or keep my same distance but try to increase my pace? Im participating in the August challenge so I know for that I want to increase pace. Im just wondering what everyone else did when they were starting out?
