I have been busy scrapbooking lately. I went shopping at Big Lots and found quite a bit of scrapbooking supplies. Adding to what I have accumulated I have quite a pile in need of organizing. Deciding how to organize always takes some thought. I usually sort and organize with three ideas in mind. I can sort and organize by color, by type and by manufacture. I like sorting by color this makes scrapbooking very easy I think. I can put a scrap kit together very quick: pink paper, flowers, buttons, tags, stamps, pens, ribbons, embellishments, etc. I just have to decide what pattern papers to work with. I do have lots of my supplies organized by color in my scrap area so I start there. Next is organizing by type. I have lots of my tools organized by type. All my punches are stored together then sorted by type again: flower punches, circle punches, squares, etc. I also store my ribbons, small embellishments by type then sorted by color. Same goes for my pens, stamp pads and chalks. My stamps are stored by type then sorted by style: flowers, words: birthday, thank you, etc. Last is organizing by manufacture: this works well with paper products and the embellishments made to work together in a scrapbook or card layout. This takes the guess work or major decisions out of the picture. You have everything you need to make a beautiful creation. I use this method if I am in a real time crunch or am at a total scrapblock and need rebooting. Well time to sort cause I need to scrap! Please stop by and check out our website.
