I have never had a better group of band kids willing to do anything you ask than during our trip to the ZIA marching competition yesterday. Our bus broke down outside Socorro AND we forgot the hat plumes. Between the kids and the parents we were able to get back on track and make it happen. The kids were so flexible. I have never seen a group willing to go that extra mile (without complaining) take responsibility and still make it enjoyable for everyone. Although we didnt make finals the band had one amazing performance. EVERYONE wanted to do their part for this awesome journey we have taken this year. Im very blessed to be part of the Tiger Band Organization. Unfortunately Ive also had to experience a little negativism this year from those haters who just are just too blinded by their own self righteousness. You will not bring me down! Just sayn.
