I hesitated about posting this but then I said hey...why not? Truth is truth. Were ALL Human! Bro. Jeff… As a divorced person I got really discouraged from having been preached about all my life. My divorce was 43 years ago and I have been happily married to the same woman for over 40 years now. Our most recent pastor seemed to zero in and harp on it all the time. I had about gotten used to it but this fellow was over 400 lbs. The whole time he was telling me that I was condemned for being divorced I was afraid he was going to explode from being so fat. If anyone dared to confront him about his weight he would always claim to have some type of imbalance that caused it…never gluttony. The problem was I had seen him eat! Most gluttonous person I have ever seen. I prayed and asked the Lord why he was so mean in his preaching and the Holy Spirit spoke to me through y’all’s song. He said “We’re all human, we’re all broken and we need the help that only comes through Jesus.” I am human and divorced. My pastor is human and is a glutton. My job was not to judge him any more than his job was to judge me! I began to pray for him. Lo and behold he started a weight loss and exercise program. He is down some 60 lbs. already!! As his weight has dropped his spirit has sweetened and his preaching (though still right on target) has sweetened too. Three weeks ago he even played your video in the a.m. service! It’s true…there is none of us righteous. We’re all human and we all need Jesus! Praise the Lord and thank you.
