I just listened to a CNN contributer explain that Egyptian leaders were not ideal Muslim leaders to come out and condemn Muslim extremism, because they are a brutal dictatorship with a horrible human rights record. He then, in the same breath, suggested that the Saudis were more legitimate candidates.....???? WHAT??? Where is CNN getting there so called expert contributors from? The Saudis have one of the worst human rights records in the world, and as far as dictatorships go.... they dont call it the KINGDOM for its upstanding democracy. As far as denouncing extremism is concerned, shouldnt we all be denouncing that in whatever form it takes? In my experience extremism is dangerous period. Religious, racial, political or otherwise. I guess we have learned nothing from the last 6000 years of history.
