I know I have complained about working Ems and you take dumb nursing home calls ( until this past week), (short story) I received a call to a nursing home, found out it was for my papa, but I held it together with out crying, took him to the hospital, he was admitted, I visited him and stayed by his side with my father, on Tuesday November 26th 2013 I was dropping off my gf at work, she noticed that my dad was going into the hospital to visit my papa by himself, so I decided to join my dad and be there for him, at around 1130 my dad said he is gonna go back to nursing home and get some of papas things , so I told him Ill stay here and hold onto papa, I placed his hand in mine, 5 min after my dad left rural metro (my other family) walked into the room, during that 5 min I watched my grandfather take his last breath, with his hand still in mine, he waited for his son, his baby to leave the room, but also he left his touch in my hands, he left his strength in my hand, papa was sent to heaven, he is Finally in peace! Rip papa you will be missed and Ill never forget that call, that day and the touch you left in my hand! Im so happy to be alive in this world! Papa Ill take care of dad, I know thats what you wanted to tell me as I sat next to you. I love you! Love forever and always your grandson Andrew Papa once asked me to give him a ride in the ambulance, Im sure this was part of his plan, I got to take him for a ride, and I held his hand through his tough times! Im glad to say Im his grandson! What an amazing marine
