I like to revisit hyped things post-hype, so here I am doing that now. Pretty gorgeous song, even if its sung very thinly. I actually got the shivers when she sang, I heard that you like the bad girls, honey; is that true?. I just wish any other music she made appealed to me. Its all Disney strings, shitty beats, and silly posturing. Same with this video. Its terrible. I know its trying to evoke something about glamour, but all the random images of skateboarding and old cartoons dilute all meaning. Her image is very contrived, but arent most artists? David Bowie and Madonna copied everybody, and shes just trying to be Nancy Sinatra. However, this was a neat song with some real fun pizzicato parts. Enough said, I suppose.
