I often hear comments like why do you continue to be a police officer or why would anyone want to be a police officer. Lately, I have heard Why dont cops just go on strike... Well, allow me to answer that question for you: I would love the idea... but you see, we police officers would not be willing to do this. Some Law Enforcement officers may be willing, but those of us who serve our community and took the Oath seriously will always stand guard against evil. Yes, I call the scum of the earth that do society harm evil.... I am not referring to the speeders or the little vandals, but the rapist, murderers and hardcore violent offenders. If we take a day off, they will have free reign and the thought of that sickens me... So, I just as my fellow lifer brothers in blue will do, shall stand up against our persecution by NOT Standing Down! We will cope with the constant belittlement from the public officials, and the accusations that often prove not to be true from the public. We will stand for what is right and enforce the laws of the USA, our respective states, and our communities. We will continue to respond to your needs when travel is hazardous and we are barely equipped for the task at hand. Oh, and we will continue to respect and defend the Constitution of the United States of America, as we all swear to do on day one! This, I can guarantee you is how the majority of police officers in this country really feel! I know the ones I have trained feel this way at least! God Bless and continue to fight the good fight!
