I personally believe in guilty until proven innocent. But one of the pillars of our criminal justice system is that all accused are considered innocent until proven guilty by confession, plea bargain, or trial by jury. That means if you are accused of something you cannot face consequences for it until it has been proven that you are guilty of the crime. All we have right now is allegations and an ongoing investigation by the Dover, Deleware police department. Once thats finished the prosecutors can decide they can take the evidence to a grand jury and get an indictment. Then at that point Stewart HAAS Racing or NASCAR could decide to suspend Kurt pending the outcome of the trial. NASCAR one have Curtis Turner a lifetime ban for being president of the drivers union. He was reinstated later, though he was sort of already dead.The only other person suspended for life is Jeremy Mayfield for driving under the influence of crystal meth. If a conviction occurs than a suspension would be appropriate but moot because of the whole jail thing.
