I projected 80-100 seats for AAP in 2014 general elections along with decent projections for other parties. Results are not out yet, so no one knows the final numbers. In fact last leg of voting is still left. My friends here were so prompt in writing off the numbers for AAP, that most of them didnt even care the projections for other parties. This is a typical attitude you will experience among those who are scared of Indian politics changing without their approval. They themselves wanted to change the system, but they ignored AAP (despite its huge impact on the big picture) due to their inability to take risk, and now scared of facing themselves in the mirror. Its a state of mind when individual cares only about him/her being right in rejecting something in the past. You must have heard these guys saying: Aise thodi na chalta hai.., Arey koi kuchh nahi kar sakta is country ka... you also have seen these guys swearing on politicians, governments, bureaucrats and pathetic condition of the nation, but unfortunately that swearing didnt transform in more than few beer with the like minded buddies over the weekend. None of them have taken pain to go out on the street and work for making the democracy stronger for whichever party they might have faith in. I seriously doubt they even voted. Honestly, I am optimistic of 80+ seats for AAP. My optimism is based on the ground current I have experienced during my trip to India last month. However, irrespective of the number of seats AAP has made huge impact on the Indian Politics and striving to provide right direction to it. Most of the AAP supporters and volunteers will be on the streets again to work for the cause of better India, no matter what happens on 16th. It is high time for those self centered I am right or My way or no way type people to introspect about their own contribution towards the improvement of democratic conditions in the country before writing off those who have been fighting the devils instead of making depressing commentary from the bar! Jai Hind!
