I saw numerous ads last night on TV for Hy-Vee and their big 4th of July Blow-out specials; they mentioned 3 items. They had a great price on Lays potato chips, they did beat us by a bit, but their other 2 items, OH MY!!! Hy Vee has USDA Choice New York Strips advertised for ONLY $5.98 each, but thats for an 8 oz strip. That means they are $11.96 per lb. Mulhollands has USDA Choice, Certified Angus Beef New York Strips on sale for $9.99/lb, with an assortment of sizes; almost nobody wants a paper thin 8 oz steak, and I guarantee that ours are trimmed leaner. They also are advertising Bratwurst, at 8 for $10.00. They say they are 3.75 oz each, which works out to a price of $5.33/lb, and those have to be tiny. Mulhollands makes lean and tasty Brats, which most people tell us are the best they have EVER had, and we have them on sale for $3.99/lb, and theyre made fresh right here. With the money you save on these items, you can buy a whole tank of gas, and get it anywhere you want, not where they tell you to go!
