I submit to my husband as unto The Lord. Not because hes a perfect husband. Not because he always deserves it (although hes beyond amazing). Submission extends anything I can see physically. Submission is spiritual. Its out of my love for Jesus that I get to submit to my husband. I submit to him as UNTO The Lord. Helping & believing in the purpose God has given him. Ive learned that any woman can rebel, undermind, lead & manipulate her husband. That takes no strength. It takes no maturity. It takes no effort. When I accepted a ring from my husband, I said yes to his headship & the order that God put in place. I said yes to his faults. Yes to better or for worse (and worse will come), yes to his decisions. My husband became my protection as he submitted onto The Lord. What a beautiful umbrella of protection! Im constantly protected by The Lord & my husband. Ladies, get rid of the idea that submission means doormat. My hubby & I talk about everything. Everyday. We are a team. If we cant come to a decision, I leave it to my husband because I know one day, God will hold him accountable for the decisions made in our home. What a relief that as a woman, I dont have that responsibility! So, marry wisely sis. How can a man submit to the living God he doesnt believe in? And if he claims Jesus, Check out his submission to God before you say I do. And if you are married to an unbeliever, never stop praying. Dont give up.
