I think stories like this are interesting because they demonstrate the arrogance and shortsightedness of atheism. Doesnt this pompous fool realize that pompous fools have been predicting the end of religion for thousands of years? Religion will never go away because, no matter what, people will always inherently recognize the fact that there is more to reality, there are more to human beings, and there is more to life, than what we can immediately see with our eyes. Knowledge of God is innate, and that is why religion has always existed and will always exist. This guy calls religion a bunch of silly anecdotes, which is something that only a very silly person would say. Its one thing to be atheist, but its quite another to take all of the complexities and insights of theology and reduce it to a childs bedtime story. It only reveals your own ignorance and illiteracy, because anyone with an education knows that most of the great human achievements and advancements -- especially in the field of science -- sprang forth from religion. Its also fascinating that he brings up slavery. Slavery is one of many cultural evils that religion -- particularly Christianity -- defeated. Not atheism. Not secularism. Christianity. In fact, secularism has not cured any social ill or brought any real progress to the world.
