I thought everything went very well this morning. Dr. Bruce - TopicsExpress

I thought everything went very well this morning. Dr. Bruce Nelson, the specialist that performed the procedure, is a very funny man. Its nice to be able to laugh in the face of adversity. I was relaxed going in, having had him as my surgeon 7 years ago for another procedure on my face that went quite well. Apparently, however, he felt I was a bit to much of a live wire today (imagine that!) and asked the nurse to give me 2 mg of something-or-other to keep me from moving around so much. He did the procedure immediately afterwards, put me in a comfortable chair in the waiting area, and came back through a while later to tell me the good news -- no more cutting would be needed. They got clean margins the first time. Yay! Shortly after that, they put me in a wheelchair while Ron left to pull the car around. The meds they had given me started making me nauseous and the room started spinning a bit. I dont remember much after that. I slept all the way home, stumbled to the bedroom with Rons help, and fell asleep. I woke up once around 4 p.m. for a brief period of time before passing out again, waking up the next time around 9 p.m. I did manage to prepare the night feeding for the dogs, and come to my computer briefly to try to make heads or tails of the days events, but my mind is still mush and my body isnt cooperating much so Im going back to bed again after I post this. If whatever it was that Doc gave me to keep me quiet and still hadnt been given, I believe Id have been able to be a productive member of the rescue society today. Instead, my arm is only slightly throbbing but my head is one dizzy mess! I am saddened by the loss of the GSD and Boxer today, both of which I felt were unnecessary, but until I can regain my strength, the best I can do right now is pray that Grady and Sadie are soon safe. Thank you to all who are helping to facilitate their rescues in my absence. I pray that tomorrow is a better day. Love you all! - Kym Ann p.s. God Bless my wonderful husband, Ron, who has held the fort down around here today without one complaint. He is a fabulous caretaker for me, my dogs and our extended family. My husbands heart is pure gold! I love you, Ronald Denton!
