I took two terms off from vocals class while preparing for Miss Burlesque Australia Gold Coast which was in July. So Im a bit unpractised at the moment and though it feels really good to be back into it Im initially finding my choice of song more difficult than it appeared on the surface. Crimson and Clover has relatively simple lyrics but pitching and timing my voice correctly without as many musical queues as a typical song has is well, a nice challenge. I mean its easy to sing along with Joan but a purely instrumental version is where my challenge lies at the moment and theres no reverb or chorus effect when practising to make it sound anywhere as nice as the recording.
