I tried this and it works, though I did put some saran wrap over the top of a soup bowl to keep most of the water in, otherwise a somewhere near half of the water becomes steam, otherwise the instructions work fine, I used a microwaveable soup bowl from Healthy Choice Beef Pot Roast Soup, as it is the perfect size for a packet of Top Ramen and can be used again as its plastic with a metal rim(the metal doesnt bother the microwave oven, at least not that I could see), the flavor packet(Shrimp in this case) and 1/2 cup water.
