I use to think that making a touchdown, scoring twenty points in a basketball game, or winning the one-hundred yard dash were the biggest thrills in life. But when I surrendered my life to Christ all of these things became insignificant. I know that I am speaking to someone tonight where things bring you momentary satisfaction and may be thrills. They may not be wrong, but believe me there is no joy or satisfaction in life like knowing Christ and walking obediently with Him. Someone might say, Oh! Thats just preacher talk. They are wrong. I walked with The Lord before I was called to preach and had a measure of joy. But the night I told The Lord to take my life, my whole life, and use it for His glory, God opened the flood gates of joy in heaven and my life has never been the same since. Ups and downs, yes. Hurts and sorrows, yes. But, Oh! a peace that passes understanding and joy unspeakable and full of glory. I plead with all my friends: put all your lives on the altar. Dont give Him a little piece of your heart, give it all to Him. Go all out for Christ and see the difference.
