I want to clear the air. I am a conservative both by my values and my fiscal responsibility. I know oh so well that my views and opinions clash with many of you on my friends list. I mean nor pose no harm to anyone. I respect and value your opinions. We can usually just agree to disagree. However, there are times where you can get me thinking in a different direction. I often tImes sand against the grain of the current establishment. I offer no apologies for that. If I offend you, you certainly have a choice. What does bother me? When someone runs back to the powers to be and report what I post. I am passionate about education. I try to apply my values to each item I deliberate on the school board. I strongly believe that our children should get an equal opposing view of issues in order for them to make the most educated assessment . I do not believe that public education should be a one sided forum for special interests and labor unions. I truly love and highly respect the classroom teacher. I commend them for an often difficult task they face. That being said, I do not always agree with the tactics or policies employed to force our students to comply with a one sided educational agenda. If you have a problem with my opinions and views, come to me. Please do not run to administrators in an attempt to shed your inadequacies and undermine my message. It will not work. I have an inherent right to my opinions and values, as you do. I do not buy into the politically correct crap that is constantly drummed into the heads of our young people. Some of you on my friends list are old acquaintances from high school, some of you are co workers, relatives, and people I have met through my work with the school district. Some of you I know from the many years of coaching your children and from the cheerleading world. Some of you that know me on a daily basis know I say what I feel. You certainly know where I stand on issues. Those who do not deal with me on a daily basis, unfortunately do not see the other side of me. Deep down I am a compassionate person who is very loyal to my friends.
