I was also a victim an I was eleven.... you are right spider, the best thing to do, even if it scares the hell out of you, is tell a teacher, tell a friend, tell a grown up, tell a parent, or tell a relative. It took me years of counselling and therapy to overcome my own feelings of guilt, self loathing, cutting, and self destuctive bahavior..... if my son ever has this happen he is strong enough mentally and emotionally to tell me an his dad or his uncles..... I too own a bat..... and I love my steel toes from factory work..... as a warning to all the pedophiles and rapists? Let me or my sons family hafta deal with it at all an someone will DIE! Doesnt matter if it is my kid or not.... I see it or hear it?!? Itll get 30 times ugly out and I will wear a hunter orange jumpsuit in prison with PRIDE! The guy who first did this to me was a friend of the family.... during the first summer of desert storm.... the second was when I was walking home from school through a dark wooded area.... I am crazy paralyzingly deathly afraid of the dark..... and if confronted in the dark I go violent.... out of stark fear and protect mode.... I plead with people, please educate yourself and your children.... this stuff is mostly avoidable if children are taught what to look for in a predator and how to handle the scary situation..... god bless you, thank you for your heartfelt honesty.
