I was really lucky some years ago to be involved as one of the subjects in a scientific research into paranormal experiences. I was attached to an electro-encephalograph and my brain wave patterns were monitored while I practiced psychometry. The brain waves became quite unusual and increased in activity enormously. It is well worth getting involved in research of this kind. Most scientific research of any kind is either carried out by students, especially for Masters, or is funded by an interested party. This means that a lot of research is just within companies who need to develop products. But the work students do, or people who are interested in furthering an understanding of broader aspects of humanity, does have a role to play for people like us.
