I will start the page off by posting an idiom, the first of many, as I will be posting them often. An idiom is a phrase/expression that cannot be understood from the meaning of its separate words but that has a separate meaning of its own. For example, the idiom all bark and no bite has nothing to do with a dog. It means that someone is either threatening to do something to you, but is not really willing to do it. An example sentence would be something like this: I used to be afraid of her when I first met her as she tends to say really horrible and threatening things, but the more Ive been in her company the more I realised that shes all bark and no bite. Do you know anyone who is all bark and no bite? Try using this phrase the next time youre speaking English to someone! ~AJ~
