IN-HOUSE REAL ESTATE CASE COMPETITION – SEP 2013 Thank you to all the 6 teams for all the hard work and effort in preparing for the In-House Case Competition. The Groups that took part on 25 Sep 13 at LR427 were as follows:- RECC3 (Chong Qi Hui, Chua Zhi Hang, Gan Guang and Tey Hui Ping Serene), DREAM (Tai Wai Kit, Chen Bochuan Aaron, Brian Lim Chong Siang and Kevin Yap Hon Seng), CREATE (Tan Sze Hui, Wong Jing Zhi, Tee Aihui and Ling Bao Hui), BREAD & BUTTER (Lee Li Fang, Ko Szu Yu, Tan Cheng Yi, Nur Hendriyanty Hidayah, RAINMAKERS (Isaac Leo Yen, Ang Guo Dong, Victor Lau, Yuki) and THREE DONUTS (John Paul Chua Dong Jie, Dexter Sim Zhenyao, Clarissa Chua Xing Yi). The case involving complex debt restructuring of a large distressed property in New York was released on Friday 20 Sep. Teams had to analyze the case, devise solutions, submit an executive summary and prepare slides for a 20 minute presentation followed by 10 mins Q & A. The judges felt that the standards were high, and the call was close among several teams, any of which could be deserving winners. Ultimately, a choice had to be made, however difficult. We are pleased to announce that the winning team for the IN-HOUSE CASE COMPETITION 2013 is RAINMAKERS! They received the first prize of a dining voucher at a 5-star hotel. Congratulations to all the team members. The selection of the 6(+1) participants in the USC Case Competition will be done in due course. The selection will be based on individual performance, and not necessarily as teams.
