IQ isnt everything. It does say a lot about a persons reasoning - TopicsExpress

IQ isnt everything. It does say a lot about a persons reasoning and memory, but lets talk about processing. It does account for processing speed, but it doesnt account for overall processing power. One might have the ability to process small pieces of data quickly, but may not have the range necessary to get through larger chunks that a slower processor may eventually comprehend. Also, a measurement of intellect is only one side of the coin. Dont forget about intuition. Intuition is emotional guidance. It guides the intellect with the emotional consequences caused by empathy. Upon observing the elite class e.g. Kissinger and Rockefeller, one might notice they have high IQs but no empathy. Their computing power is awesome...but their wisdom is non-existent. Its a deadly ratio. Show me a sociopath with high intellect and Ill show you a very successful serial killer. In Kissinger and Rockefellers case....well, theyre responsible for the deaths of perhaps millions of innocent people, yet somehow remain (through proxy) at the center of power in the United States of America. Ive noticed that in the world of music many intellects can read the charts with great ease but cannot induce emotion with their playing. They are simply processing, thats it. And in the academic world the word intellect has now become a term to describe a high performance robot...easily programmed. If you have a high IQ (most of my friends do) then great. Im just saying its not everything. If theres any grammar errors in this rant please forgive me....I dont have a very high IQ.
