Id originally intended to buy a recent-model, pretty run-of-the-mill used car, but as I began to get excited about driving, I realized: Hey, your first car only happens once, right? I saw the MINI Cooper Countryman online, and it struck me as the perfect city/commuter car. Compact, and fuel efficient, but by no means underpowered. With four doors and a sizable rear storage, its got plenty of space for reasonable everyday/road trip needs without being a big, honking SUV. I drove it, and it just... felt... perfect. It handled nicely, took the hills with ease thanks to its hill start feature (which I will sorely miss if I ever rent a car), and the visibility from inside was excellent. Tonight, after doing some pricing research, I bought the car. Tomorrow, after I lock down a parking space and an insurance policy for it, Ill take it home!
