If I had timed things differently, perhaps I could have managed to - TopicsExpress

If I had timed things differently, perhaps I could have managed to delay the attempt to diversify my social network until catastrophic failure occurred in my primary connection. Granted, the attempt to diversify failed miserably, but under the alternative circumstances my interactional style would have been subtly altered, perhaps in ways that would have resulted in the creation of a successful connection. It is unlikely, but when I enter a meltdown state I also engage in out-of-mode behavior in a last ditch attempt not to completely die inside. Of course ... ... as Ive pointed out before, thats just not fair to anyone else. People arent just replacement goldfish. Furthermore, people who mattered cannot actually BE replaced. Nobody will ever fit into the hole left behind by someone elses absence. And trying to fit someone into such a void is just a horrid thing to do to them.
