If this song had come out when I was in high school I would have blasted it loud. (I keep hearing Duncan Sheik singing it in my head) There are plenty of other, probably better, song about being an outcast. Yet, this is a decent pop song about being socially awkward. I wasnt popular. I was a freak, a reject, a weirdo, a faggot. I was bullied, pushed around, and most days were really hard to get through. So many kids face the same challenges every day. Its hard to be different. But I accepted who I was and never let it change me. There are times I wish I could go back in time and high five myself for never letting that defeat me. Im proud of my teenage self.
