If you are the laity, and if you dont have a special needs or disabled family member, its safe to say you dont know jack and should not be telling a sn parent ANYTHING. Odds are you are wrong, and odds are you arent helping. Even our priests who are part of older generations suggested we put our child away. Little girls who cant talk or feed themselves were historically targeted in homes for the disabled, and we will not endanger our child so we can be more comfortable. And no, God is not just as pleased if you are out in the vehicle after preparing everyone for church for 24 hours, or out on the church lawn, or in the bathroom, or swinging from the church property trees. You are either worshipping and participating in Liturgy, or you are NOT. And if you are NOT, then you cant receive the Eucharist. And if you are never participating, never a part of the banquet table, you are held far away from God and his body. lifenews/2014/08/25/the-hardest-place-for-us-to-take-our-special-needs-child-our-church/
