If you know anything about me, you know I love antiques....and we have some in our home. Recently, I acquired this piece... but when it was given to me, I asked where is the other piece of it??? The person didnt know...I tore up my mothers apartment looking for it with no luck. I also acquired 2 large tins of greeting cards,and note cards. My mother loved to write notes to people,and was great at sending birthday greetings, etc. Anyway, the piece I acquired was the largest piece in the first picture...then after months of going through Mom and Dads stuff...1,000s of pictures, etc.....I needed a retirement card,and instead of just running to Wal Mart , I thought Id see if there was one in moms card stash. Now , Ive gone through these tins before...in one of them was some papers, (not cards 8 x 11 papers), so I pulled all the cards out to see what these papers, were, nothing important,and I threw them away, but when I pulled out last paper,and saw the metal bottom of the can....much to my shock, I found the 2nd piece! I have shown both pieces separate, a close up of the handle of the piece I found today,and the pieces together in the pictures.... (Can you make out what animal is on the handle?) This was a souvenir of the Chicago Worlds Fair 1933.....and belonged to my grandparents , who went to the fair,and they actually used it for the purpose it was intended.... Heres your chance to have a bit of fun....guesses on what this is,and what it was used for....any wild guess would do....Ill let the winner, the first to say what it is know if they won, once I get some guesses,and Cindy Wyatt cant guess! She already knows.. Ok...guesses? GO!
