If youre going to produce barrel races remember it is your responsibility to make sure the ground is right. There are great tractor drivers out there all you gotta do is hire them. Just because you have a tractor and a ground tool hooked to it doesnt mean the ground will automatically get right. These horses trust their riders to keep them safe and the riders trust us to have safe ground. You need a tractor driver that has experience, knowledge, and the willingness to go above and beyond to make the ground right for the competitors. Im not perfect but I made a bad decision earlier in the year and I had to stop the show for two hours to get the right equipment in to work the ground. The competitors at that show left mad because the show started late but them and their horses left safe. Safety to your competitors and their horses should always be your number one priority as a producer. Rant over.
